When a new technology is suddenly introduced, it can define an entire generation. The generation of Palauan who lived under the Japanese Administration know well how their lives were suddenly transformed with the introduction of combustion engines, electricity and metal tools. Today, the power of the internet, smart mobile phones, computers and jet airliners have changed the landscape of transportation and communication for this generation of Palauans. We are now curious to know what next technology will have earth shaking affect in our daily lives.
According my stock advisor, it is Graphene. It is a material made from a single carbon atom which is predicted to have pervasive impact on the world economy and the entire human race. The product is stronger than steel but lighter than a feather and its use is limitless. Remember that diamonds, the stronger material on earth, comes from carbon molecules.
Graphene was discovered by two Russian scientists who won Nobel prizes in physics last year. The scientists say that Graphene is the “next big thing”, that will propel mankind to a new orbit.
IBM and Samsung Electronics predict that Graphene will be the foundation of edge cutting wireless technology. Soon, man can launch rockets the size of skyscapers but, weights less than your BBQ grill. You will be able to download high definition video to your smart mobile phones in split seconds.
On the medical side, Graphene will be used by doctors for high dose cancer fighting drugs without harming the healthy cells in your body. It is said that it can be used to make synthetic blood. Scientists fromWayneStateUniversitysay that Graphene will be used someday to reverse Alzheimbers disease by inserting Graphene into the human brain. It could be used to improve spinal injuries and blindness. Air Force Laboratory inOhiosaid that Graphene can be used to grow human tissue.
For computers, Graphene can be used to power 10,000 mainframes in the palm of your hand. Graphene based LED screen will make flat TVs obsolete. The new LED screen will be as thin as Saran wraps so you can roll it and carry with you anywhere.
On the energy side, British researchers found that Graphene can yield perfect solar cells, making greater use of sun rays. Graphene is also a better semi conductor that can outperform silicon. Thus, future tele communications and computing will use light rather than electricity to relay voice, video and data.
There are still challenges ahead in bringing Graphene to be the robust basis of electronic devises. But scientists are working hard to solve the obstacles.
According to Michael Robinson, a Defense and Technology Specialist, Graphene is the “Miracle Material” that will change the world. Stay tunedPalau, for the next great leap forward with Graphene. We are at the edge of a life changing high tech products which our ancestor could only dreamed of. Happy Holidays everyone !!
